Search and Rescue: We deploy professional K9/handler tracking, trailing, HRD and general airscent dog teams, to work alongside law enforcement, military and other SAR (Search and Rescue) operators in wilderness and disaster areas. We are a detection asset, specializing in attaching to other small teams to increase their effectiveness and efficiency. K9’s are an incredible tool. Their ability to detect and follow human odor to find those in desperate need, when time is of the essence, is unparalleled.
Counter Human Trafficking: Our K9’s not only are talented, they are kind and stable. Our handlers and their dogs donate their time and energy to empowering children who are victims of sexual exploitation, sexual abuses and sex trafficing. We work alongside the DA and Law Enforcement as victim advocates. Our dogs accompany these young warriors to court as they testify against their traffickers. Crimes against innocent children can not be prosecuted without a victim. Our dogs sit steadfast, next to these small heroes on the stand while they testify in grand jury trial, so that they can speak their truth and these predators can be put behind bars.

All of our Search and Rescue and counter human trafficking efforts on an entirely volunteer / probono bases. No family, victim or agency will ever be billed for the efforts our professional handlers and team members put forth to help our community.

Our Mission

C.H.A.I.S. Compassionately provides k9 teams to protect the unprotected, empower those who dare to speak out against their abusers, and rescue those in need by delivering professional level handlers and k9s to our community.

Our Purpose

  • Provide therapy and emotional support dogs to victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, sexual and physical abuses as they testify in court.

  • Provide personal security dogs and handlers to victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, sexual and physical abuses as they testify in court.

  • Provide tracking, trailing, HRD and airscent dogs, working in conjunction with private and public agencies, to aid in SAR operations both domestically and globally, in all terrains, and weather conditions.

Help Us in Helping Our Community

Your donation will go directly to providing equipment, veterinary care, training and travel expenses to CHAIS Handlers and their K9’s. You can donate to our general fund where our board will carefully allocate funds to ensure consistent, fast, safe and effective response to SAR or Victim Advocacy efforts. If you would like to donate for something specific, please leave your wishes in the “note” portion of the donation box (example: protective harnesses for K9’s).
